Lunch Menus
Lunchtimes are a very important part of the school day at Fair Oak Junior School. As well as a packed lunch, children have the option to enjoy a variety of freshly prepared hot meals.
Our school lunches are priced at £3.20 for each meal. Please ensure you have paid for these meals prior to ordering. You can find information about how to pay for these meals on Arbor by clicking the link below.
Free School Meals
Your child may be eligible for free school meals if you receive certain benefits. You can find more information about this by clicking on the image to the left. Here you will also find information about using the online checking facility. If you have any other queries about this, then please contact the school office.
School Menus
Each day, children have the choice of a meat option, a vegetarian option or a jacket potato with a selection of toppings. Our school kitchen also provides a self-service salad bar for the children. The menus run on a three-week cycle, which can be seen below. The school menus are also attached as PDF documents at the bottom of this page.

Special Diets
Please click the image above to find out more about applying for a special diet for your child.
If your child requires a special diet, then you can request this by creating an account with Hampshire Education Catering and uploading medical evidence. Parents will need to provide a packed lunch until the special diet is available.
There is no need to apply for a special diet menu if your child is a vegetarian, has a nut allergy or diabetes.
For children with diabetes, Hampshire Education Catering publishes a list of carbohydrate values for the primary school menu. This is a live document and subject to change so please also check on the website linked below as well as the PDF document.
There is no need to apply for a special diet. Simply inform the school and we will help to manage this with you.
Packed Lunches
When preparing your child's lunch box, please remember we are a no-nut school. This includes fillings such as Nutella. Lunch boxes should not include sweets, chocolates or fizzy drinks but some healthy foods to keep your child fuelled through the day.
